El-Dia Policies

Here at El-Dia, our goal is to produce top show cats. Usually pets are available but we do not guarantee availability. Reservations are recommended. This breed of cat is very people-oriented, and they can be demanding of your company.

Availability If you are interested in a kitten, let me know and I will put you on my reservation list. Kittens are
available on a first-come, first-serve basis, with the following exceptions; I reserve the right to place the best kittens out of a litter into show homes.
If you are first on my list, but a show home comes along afterwards, the show home will get first pick. Remember that in most cases, the difference
between the show and pet kittens are very subtle. You will still be getting a beautiful and loving kitten.

Spay/Neuter Agreement All of my pet kittens are sold on a spay/neuter agreement, which will be included on your sales contract. Feel free to contact me for more information. Kittens should be spayed/neutered between 4 months and 1 year of age, and adopted female adults should be spayed within 30 days, if they are not already spayed. Adopted male adults will come to you already altered. Cats purchased as pets may NEVER be used for stud or breeding, per my written sales contract. A breeding PIN number is necessary for registering litters, and this number is not given with kittens sold as pets.

Commitment Agreement Under no circumstances will this cat (kitten) be sold, leased or given away to any pet shop, research laboratory or similar facility. Nor may it ever be placed in a Humane Society or Animal Shelter of any kind. If you decide you can no longer keep your pet, and cannot place it with another family, please contact me for assistance in placing your pet. Acquiring a pet is a lifetime commitment, please consider this prior to purchasing one of our kittens.

Vaccinations All of El-Dia kittens come with the standard vaccinations required by a veterinarian. Please contact me for specific information.

De-clawing Every effort should be made by you NOT to de-claw this cat, unless it is absolutely necessary.

Guarantees Our kittens are healthy at the time of placement, and while kittens are not returnable in order to protect the health of the cattery, I will make every effort to help you place or resell a kitten if you change your mind after placement. Replacement is offered in the event of life-threatening, proven congenital defects for one year after the date of placement (kittens only).

Shipping Shipping costs usually work out to approximately $200 to $240 per shipment. Usually, two kittens can be shipped at the same price as one kitten. El-Dia uses the exceptional program offered by Continental Airlines, called Continental's Petsafe Program. Please review the requirements for shipping on this website so that you are fully informed and prepared. Some additional costs associated with shipping in addition to Continental's fee are: health certificate, rabies shot, and a shipping crate and water bowl/sticker kit for the crate.
