JULY 7-02:  Dancer's National Winning title has been confirmed as CFA's 16th Best Kitten for the 2001-2002 show season.  I am now showing a male kitten out of GC, NW El-Dia Blue Danube and GC Bacio's Cherish The Day of El-Dia.  I am also showing xxxx.  Please take a look at the new picture on my Policies page!

MAY 15-02: We are so proud of El-Dia's Wind Dancer, a new National Winner!  We think he has the title of 16th Best Kitten, but will confirm when actual awards are given.  Also, we are proud to announce that Tiadela's Northernette of El-Dia has achieved her Grand Championship!  We will post new pictures soon.  NOTE FROM THE WEBMASTER:  If you are using Netscape 4.0 or older, you are going to have some errors in viewing this web.  HTML code has progressed, and so must your browser!  Please upgrade to Netscape 6.2, it's free!  Also, make sure you have the latest MSIE also.  This web is best viewed with MSIE, as I have some embedded fonts that you won't be able to enjoy with Netscape.  I've added a new link on the links page, check it out.  It's called Mar Vista Animal Medical Center.  Tons of excellent information here.

Web Intro:  I hope you enjoy your visit to the El-Dia web.  I first met Barbara Phelps at a cat show a couple of years ago.  I approached her in awe, knowing of her status as a highly regarded breeder of Orientals.  Since I've  have been able to spend many hours benched next to her at shows, I've come to see that she is a delightful person... quiet, understanding, patient, and always willing to share her experiences with others.  Barbara is honest and very professional and I am honored to know her.  As I was creating this web I was floored by the many cats she has shown to high titles.  It takes an incredible commitment to show one cat to such lengths, let alone the scores of cats you will see here.  Barb truly epitomizes the art of breeding by producing gorgeous, healthy cats with great personalities.  And she never quits striving to improve!!  Enjoy!

El-Dia Background:  Barb began breeding Siamese back in the late 60's.  She took a break when her kids were teens in order to see them through to adulthood.  When she began breeding again, she fell in love with the Orientals and the rest is history!  Barb shows her cats in CFA, and is a member of  Just Cat-In Around Cat Fanciers, Midwest Persian Tabby Club, Anthony Wayne Cat Fanciers and has served on the Board of Oriental Shorthairs of America for many years.

Web Design and Use: This web was designed with ease-of-use in mind.  No music to annoy you, no flashing lights to distract you, just simple, informative, easy-to-read pages with lots of meaningful,  high-quality photos.  The purpose of this web is to bring the El-Dia Cattery to you, not to impress you with my technical creativity.  The link bars at the bottom of each page allow you to quickly navigate this web, or to send email to El-Dia from any page.  At the bottom of each page, in very tiny font, there is a link to me, Mary Ubach.  Please email me if you find any broken links or other problems with this web.  Now get going and experience the beautiful cats at El-Dia!
